Record Sales for Lexus Hybrid
Lexus hybrid models are such a powerful choice that demand has powered a sales record for the manufacturer.
Almost one in every three (28 per cent) of new Lexus models sold in the UK are hybrid versions. So far this year, the RX 400h is Lexus’s best selling model in Europe, representing a 24 per cent share of European sales volumes, while in Britain 80 per cent of RX sales are of the hybrid version. The GS 450h executive sports saloon also outsells its conventionally powered sister model and the new LS 600h flagship limousine went on sale in October with an advance order book filled for the next six months.
September was an all-round record-breaking month for Lexus in the UK. The 3,381 new car sales set a new benchmark for a single month, and market share for the month was also higher than ever before, thanks to volume growth of almost 24 per cent compared to 2006.
